Ching-Mei Huang was born in Taiwan in 1991 and started dancing at the age of five. She studied at the University of Taipei (Taipei Physical Education College) from 2009 - 2013. During her studies she worked as a dancer for the Chamber Ballet Taipei (Formosa Ballet) and for the He Ying Dance Company. In 2011 she founded her own experimental dance group, M-Studio. The initiative helped strengthen the young dance scene in Taiwan and made contemporary dance accessible to a wider audience. The company has produced pieces that reflected current topics in Taiwan and presented them in public spaces and at numerous festivals.

After completing her first bachelor's degree, she began her second bachelor at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, completed in 2016. She has worked with choreographers including Luisa Saraiva, Hakan Sonakalan, and, as a dancer and teaching assistant, with the Gunter Hampel Dance and Music Improvisation Company.

Since 2015 she has been a member of the Samadhyana Company as co-director, dancer and choreographer.
